This time around, on October 24th,  BFF will be returning for its 4th autumn in a row. It’s that special time of year when you can throw on your favorite flannel and bundle up with that old fleece coat that promises to keep you warm while the banjos are blaring. 

Twenty-five bands. Five venues. One night. Brace yourself for the folk invasion of Station North: the Baltimore Folk Fest 2014. On Friday, October 17 the Folk Fest will return for its third consecutive year, bringing together local, regional and national folk and folk-inspired artists, all within a two-block radius.

Alex Champagne is the kind of guy you'll see picking up random jobs wherever he can. He's always busy-you can find proof in the five W-9s he filed last year. Between his record label, setting up stages at events, working sound at venues, and playing in bands, he's found himself near the center of Baltimore's folk scene...

Button up your flannel shirt and don your overalls for Friday’s Baltimore Folk Fest. The first-ever festival, spearheaded by Alex Champagne of the local label Scenic Route Recordings, will bring soul-searching, foot-stomping folk acts together for a one-night hootenanny right on North Avenue.
